A large, fractured boulder by the roadside, with a decidedly descriptive name. It doesn't really look like a glacial erratic, more like a "landslide" boulder (is that a word?). It's quite impressive, and worth noticing on the way up - if only to take a short break after the long 14% ramp that precedes it... :(

One of the many streams descending from the upper Val Varaita has a spectacular small waterfall here, below which there is a pothole that invites you to take a nice refreshing bath. A small path allows access to the pothole. A little upstream there is a clearing where vehicles can be parked. Definitely worth noting during the ascent, it can also be a good opportunity to cool off.

Very fast descent from Colle dell'Agnello to Chianale, with breathtaking views and ramps that test the brakes (and in my case, the nerves).

Included among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, and rightly so: a pearl of newly restored houses, small churches, museums, and tourist services. Absolutely worth visiting.

Ascent to the Colle di Sampeyre from Sampeyre. Constant gradient over the entire (long) route, it never lets up, but it's a good climb on a picture-postcard mountain with stunning views of the valley.

Road refurbished last year and officially opened in July 2026. Very scenic, straddling the Maira valley and the Varaita valley

Viewpoint with a view of the Pontechianale dam. Interesting for those who are a bit of an engineer inside.
