Everything has already been written about the Grey Tower, but despite that, or perhaps because of that, it is a highlight for me!

The Hetschingsmühle near Ebern is an old half-timbered building. Today, the buildings house a carpentry workshop.

The Grauturm (Grey Tower) is the landmark of the town of Ebern in Bavaria. At 41.4 meters, it is one of the tallest gate towers in Bavaria and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the town and the surrounding area from the tower watchman's room. The carillon in the lantern of the tower dome announces the quarter and full hours. The Grauturm was built starting in 1480 and later raised by Prince-Bishop Julius Echter. Today, the tower can be climbed as part of guided tours or by appointment at the Ebern Local History Museum.
