Quite uneven! From time to time a bit of gravel was dumped there. Between Gellort and the lighthouses then wood chips/bark mulch (or whatever it's called), which greatly increases rolling resistance.

Rügen's must-see, the Königstuhl! Caspar David Friedrich made it world-famous, and today you can admire it barrier-free on a skywalk. The entrance fee is considerable (€14 p.p.), but it includes a museum, short introductions, and sanitary facilities. Tip for cyclists: the bike garages at the entrance are free (deposit €1 or €2).

The remaining ruins of the two northern blocks are also marketed to tourists – signs point the way and there is a paid parking lot. Information panels explaining the history of the site are lacking.

A large part has already been renovated. But at the northern end of the enormous structure, the ruins can still be seen.

The trail is certainly too much of a promise. It's a sandy forest path with some ups and downs.
