The Darmstädter Hütte is idyllically situated at around 1,030 meters above sea level in the Wilder See nature reserve and directly on the Westweg trail. It is ideal as a resting place or stage destination, as there are also overnight accommodation options. In addition to delicious food and drinks, the fine blueberry cake is particularly tempting. Numerous outdoor seating areas invite you to linger. The hut is also open in winter and is a popular destination for ski tours. A tourist hotspot in every season. One of the most frequented places in the Northern Black Forest. Still beautiful. The Mummelsee is a cirque lake below the summit of the Hornisgrinde, the highest mountain in the Northern Black Forest. It was formed in the Ice Age by the erosive work of a cirque glacier.
