The Shoemaking Workshop Now the Waldviertel shoemaking workshop has existed for over 40 years. Hallelujah. In 1984, it started with around ten people. Established shoemakers bet on how quickly we would go bust. At that time, with our ten employees, we were the smallest living shoe factory in Austria. The big ones employed a thousand, one even two thousand employees back then. Today, more than thirty years later, with around sixty employees in our leather-processing workshops, we are among the largest in Austria.
