Great for bypassing the wide and beaten path leading up to Cantina M. Fasolo.

Now the entire stretch is paved, with the exception of about a hundred meters, but still easily passable. It is entirely passable even with a road bike. The fact remains that it is a beautiful route outside of traffic with scenic stretches.

This trail was created many years ago for horseback riding, avoiding the upper embankment. It is little used by horse riders. It is a beautiful trail that follows the Brenta river to Vigodarzere. Today the grass was high, but it was still possible to pass. It starts from the bridge of Limena and arrives at the Vigodarzere railway bridge, where there are works and it is not possible to proceed. One is forced to exit towards the neighborhood and reach Via Roma, from there you go towards Pontevigodarzere and reconnect to the embankment. N.B.: during working hours it is preferable to go back a hundred meters and climb onto the embankment. Attention because it is also frequented by pedestrians.

Villa dei Vescovi is a Venetian villa located in Luvigliano, a hamlet of Torreglia (Padua). The construction dates back to the Renaissance and is inspired by a Roman domus. It can be considered the first example of the new taste for the rediscovery of Roman classicism in the hinterland of the Serenissima.

It was a valid alternative, but be prepared to abandon it often, and in some places you'll have to turn back. There's a lot of vegetation, with fallen trees. It hasn't been maintained for several years, and to think it would be a bridleway.

Mountain biking in Padova offers a diverse landscape. You'll find trails traversing the flat riverine plains along waterways like the Brenta and Bacchiglione rivers, as well as more challenging routes within the volcanic Euganean Hills. These hills feature dense woods, vineyards, and olive groves, providing varied experiences from gentle paths to technical climbs and descents.
Yes, Padova offers trails suitable for beginners. While the Euganean Hills have more challenging options, you can find easier paths along the region's waterways. For example, the Da Padova a Piazzola sul Brenta – giro ad anello is a moderate 32.9-mile route that follows flat riverine landscapes, perfect for those looking for a less strenuous ride.
For advanced mountain bikers seeking a challenge, the Euganean Hills are the primary destination. Trails like the Monte Rua - Battaglia Terme Loop, a 19.3-mile difficult trail with significant elevation gain, offer technical sections and panoramic views. Another demanding option is the Monte Mottolone – Calto Callegaro Trail loop from Galzignano Terme, which leads through the heart of the Euganean Hills.
Many mountain bike routes in Padova are designed as loops, allowing you to start and finish in the same location. Examples include the Battaglia Terme Canal – Canale Bisatto Cycle Path loop from Abano, a moderate 42.5-mile route, and the more challenging View of Monte Venda – Vineyard Road to Monte Fasolo loop from Torreglia, which covers 23.7 miles with substantial climbing.

The spring and autumn months generally offer the most pleasant conditions for mountain biking in Padova, with milder temperatures and beautiful scenery as the vineyards and olive groves change colors. Summers can be hot, especially on exposed sections, while winters can be damp and cooler, though many trails remain rideable. Always check local weather conditions before heading out.
Absolutely. The volcanic Euganean Hills provide numerous opportunities for panoramic views. The Mottolone Plateau itself is a notable viewpoint.
