The simple cabin is located secluded between forests, moorlands and rocky terrain and conveys a particularly original Swedish nature feeling. For hikers, it is a nice stopover to take a break and enjoy the tranquility of the vast Lunsen forest.

The Fläktanstugan is a small rest and shelter hut in the forest area south of Uppsala and a pleasant stopover along the local hiking trails. The simple hut offers hikers a sheltered place for a break and blends unobtrusively into the quiet forest landscape. It is a practical place to rest, especially during longer tours through the forests around Sunnersta, before continuing through nature.

The old tree with the anthill is a small but interesting natural highlight by the wayside. The mighty tree, marked by age and weather, together with the large anthill, offers a good insight into the lively ecosystem of the forest. Those who stop here for a moment can observe the busy activity of the forest ants and discover a completely different side of the inconspicuous details along the hiking trail.

The signpost to Uppsala and Knivsta marks an important orientation point on the hiking trail south of Uppsala. From here, the signposted routes lead either back towards the city or further south towards Knivsta through the typical landscape of Uppland. Such waypoints also clearly show how well the local trails can be connected with longer sections of the Upplandsleden.

Here you will find the Lunsentorpet, there are 8 beds (but you should bring your own sleeping bag), a stove, a table with several chairs and many other useful things. It is definitely a good place to rest for a night!

Signposted trail to Uppsala/Knivsta. However, I would recommend not taking the left trail to Knivsta, as after a while it is almost impossible to follow the trail as it becomes very swampy!
