Close to the coastal road lies the beautiful sandy beach with only a few stones in this section. Even in the water, the ground is predominantly sandy and you can enter the water well. The water is very clean and remains very shallow for a long time. You have to go far out to be able to swim. Ideal for children and for cooling your feet & paws.

St. Lawrence's Church is located in the middle of Kerteminde's market square. The nave of the three-aisled church is located under a massive roof structure. According to records, the church was built in 1476. Major structural changes were made in the 17th century – the church received a vault and the interior was renovated. On the south side of the choir is the burial chapel of the Iuel family; on the opposite wall is a plaque commemorating two of the church's pastors.
