At 204 meters, the Bad Säckingen wooden bridge is the longest covered wooden bridge in Europe. Since the Middle Ages, it has been repeatedly destroyed by floods, ice, and wars, and rebuilt several times. It served as an escape route to Switzerland during times of crisis, such as 1848 and 1945. In 2014, secret Swiss military explosives depots were removed from its pillars.

The Fridolinsmünster is the landmark of the town of Bad Säckingen and is dedicated to Saint Fridolin of Säckingen, who, as a missionary of presumably Irish origin in the 6th century, founded various monasteries in the Alemannic region. The Fridolinsmünster was the collegiate church of the Säckingen convent and is today the main church of the Roman Catholic parish of Bad Säckingen-Murg. The monastery church was built in the Romanesque style, rebuilt in the Gothic style in the 14th century after a fire, and renovated in the 17th and 18th centuries with elements of Baroque. The remains of Saint Fridolin are kept in the publicly accessible Fridolinskapelle on the right side of the choir in a richly decorated silver shrine. The procession on the Sunday after March 6th, commemorating the saint's day of remembrance and death, enjoys supra-regional fame.
