Approaching the ruins from Fleschützen, it was quite unsatisfying. Access to the inner castle is blocked, and the surrounding walls are overgrown. It's impossible to get a clear view. The ruins are apparently neglected and have been left to their natural state. The sign also suggests this. A shame.

Demanding climb, especially with a bio bike.

I prefer shopping in Sellthürn because it's quieter than in Immenthal. Combined with a tour from Kempten, it's simply perfect.

The route climbs steeply to the east, with some very steep sections; it's a bit of a challenge with a gravel bike or similar. However, it's manageable with a mountain bike (1×12). The forest road is in good condition (as of March 2025).

Sellthürn is a pleasantly quiet place to shop, and the bike path is beautiful. Tastes differ. I won't be shopping in Immenthal anymore, as it can take a long time due to the large crowds. That's why the simple, rustic seating area can be uncomfortable. It's next to the door with no physical separation from the store.
