Beautiful path above the glider airfield. The name says it all. In clear weather, fantastic panoramic views over Karlsruhe to the Palatinate mountains, over the Kraichgau to the Stromberg and to the Stuttgart TV tower. Definitely include it on a tour in the area.

I would say it's not worth an explicit trip - but still nice to look at. There is a bike path on both sides of the valley

Long hiking trail through the Albtal from Bad Herrenalb to Ettlingen. Sometimes through meadows, sometimes through forest. Many muddy sections after rain. Repeatedly beautiful views of the Alb.

This is an ideal hiking trail between Ettlingen and Herrenalb. The Alb River accompanies you on your left. Pure scenic enjoyment. Due to its proximity to the Alb Valley Railway line, shorter sections of the trail are also easily accessible. For refreshments, the Kochmühle in Neurod and the König von Preußen restaurant in Frauenalb are recommended. Both also offer access to the Alb Valley Railway.
