A body of water in a beautiful landscape. To cycle along the Wahnbachtalsperre, you should ride a gravel bike or mountain bike.

Nice view. But more for gravel bikes or MTBs. Only accessible from Wolperath via bad asphalt. Other paths are not asphalted.

The Wahnbachtalsperre has everything your heart desires. It doesn't matter whether you're a beginner or an advanced hiker. There are a wide variety of trails, of different lengths and levels of difficulty. I would classify the classic trails as "medium". This includes, for example, the popular Mönchsweg trail, which is just over 8 km long. The Wahnbachtalsperre is also a balm for the soul. No matter how busy it is, you always find your inner peace somehow. I recommend the routes equally for walkers, hikers, runners and bikers.

The route changes in detail again and again due to fallen trees etc. Optimal access to the S2-DH ("Fast, difficult downhill fun") - great combination!

Unfortunately, the upper part of the barrier is currently impassable! Trees are blocking the way. Carrying is not an option
