Today the stream was not present, everything was dry and large stones on one side of the ford.

It is a beautiful Protestant hall church, built in 1835-1836, which is a listed building.

This small birdwatching station is located directly on the Hessian long-distance cycle path R4. The wetlands around Ranstadt are part of the over 10,700-hectare EU bird protection area "Wetterau". It is one of the most important breeding and resting grounds for water and meadow birds in all of Hesse. Without any equipment, you can observe the local birds here through a permanently installed pair of binoculars. With a bit of luck, you might spot a white stork, lapwing, snipe, or marsh harrier. Otherwise, the platform also serves as a small resting spot.

A beautiful trail. Unfortunately, there is currently a stick across the path every few meters. Cyclists apparently aren't welcome there by everyone. I cleared some of them aside. Not entirely safe, especially around the bends.

A wonderful rest stop on an easy trail with views of the Hohenrodskopf and the surrounding area. A highlight in all seasons.

I preferred to push the bike over it because the beginning and end have a deep furrow that threatens to misdirect the wheels.
