Stop in at the Wheelwrights Arms Country Inn & Pub. A really nice pub with outside seating where you can keep an eye on your bike.

Check on tour times if you want to look around the house - well worth it. About 45 mins.

April 11, 2025, Avoncliff Aqueduct

the point at which the Kennet and Avon canal crossed the river and railway line via the Aqueduct built by John Rennie & John Thomas between 1797 and 1801. Good pub here which will reopen summer 2025. This is on the main railway line now becoming a regular (request?) stop since 2011
