Highlight (Segment) • Trail

After the day walk up to Snowdons peak, or along Crib Goch, or any of the other Welsh 3000s nearby, how better to take in a summers evening than a walk around this lake, you get a mix of everything, the busier South side where many people spend time at the waters edge doing various activities, or take the North side for a quieter more scenic stroll.

Pete's Eats Cafe

Highlight • Cafe

Nothing short of an institution, Pete's Eats is the only place to be when rain cancels play Llanberis. Of all the food and drink available on the impressively extensive menu, the pint sized mug of tea is the product the café is synonymous with. It's as much a Snowdonia rite of passage as the traverse of Crib Goch's main ridge.

The Lonely Tree was a Scots pine on a hill near Llanfyllin, Powys, Wales. Visible from much of the town it was a local landmark with several traditions attached to it. The tree was blown over during a storm in February 2014, and despite efforts to save it, the tree was found to be dead in June 2015..
