Kłopotowo (German Klaptow) is a town with medieval records, an old fief of the von Rahmel family. The town is mentioned in a document of the Bishop of Kamień Hermann von Gleichen, endowing the parish church in Wrzosowo and annexing Kłopotowo to the parish among six villages. Also a document from 1276 issued by the same bishop, enumerating the estates and income of the Collegiate Chapter in Kołobrzeg, mentions Kłopotowo among its assets. In 1650, the owner of Kłopotowo was Colonel Wedig von Bonin. Later, the estate was in the possession of the von Natzmer and Zimmermann families. At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, Kłopotowo belonged to Karl Braun. Around 1910, it was purchased by Hasso von Wedel, who built the current impressive manor house in 1911. We were drawn to Kłopotowo by the slogan "Neo-Gothic brick sheepfold from 1865" - it's not every day that you come across such a building, in fact it's probably our first in Pomerania. From a distance it looks like an impressive railway station. Fortunately, it survived the period of its incorporation into the Kłopotowo State Agricultural Farm well. Near the sheepfold there are many other abandoned buildings and a renovated, interesting (certainly from the outside) manor house, which also survived the period of the State Agricultural Farm.
