Pawian
June 2, 2026, Water Tower

The Tyska water tower (located in the area of Asnyka and Wojska Polskiego streets) is a post-war structure built in the 1950s. This chalice-shaped reinforced concrete structure no longer serves its original functions, and due to its unique character, it constitutes a distinctive landmark in the city's landscape. The tower has been inactive for many years and is also permanently closed to visitors. The facility is managed by PKP S.A. and is secured against access by third parties. It is not listed in the monuments register.

https://muzeum.tychy.pl/zbiory/fotografia/mlyn-z-1910-roku-lata-80-xx-w/ The steam mill in Tychy was opened in 1910 on Starokościelna Street. It was owned by Jan and Wiktoria Drob. Construction of the three-story mill building was completed in 1910. An inscription with the date and the owners' initials is located above the main entrance to the building. In the 1920s, electricity was brought to the mill and it was named the "Tychów Electric Mill." In the early 1990s, as part of the privatization process, the mill was transferred to the heirs of the former owners and renovated around 1996, where it continued to operate.

Among the many Tychy parks and squares in the city, it stands out for its open space. These specific Tychy meadows serve the residents of the surrounding estates, although it cannot be denied that this place has been appropriated by young people in a sense. No wonder - the skatepark there was built according to their suggestions. Everyone will find a place there, regardless of whether they ride a skateboard, roller skates or bike. In addition, the park has a pitch, a playground and the so-called hill on K (K is the name of the housing estate located nearby) - a favorite place for winter fun for young Tychy residents. https://umtychy.pl/790-tychy-park-jaworek
