A beautiful place, arguably the most interesting in the town. The market square is square, with each side measuring 70 meters. There are also many interesting townhouses here, as well as the Church of Ten Thousand Martyrs.

Very beautifully renovated former royal castle. Inside you can visit a museum. Admission costs 20 zł (as of May 2024) Originally there was a castle here, built by Kazimierz Wielki. From 1550-71 a royal castle in the Renaissance style was built in its place. It was the favorite place of rest of Zygmunt August (Sigismund August). Built on a square plan, it has an inner courtyard with cloisters. Carefully restored from 1955-99

The monument on the fountain commemorates the brave daughter of the forester who saved the life of King Batory. The locals call her a forester or Justyna.
