The bridge was built in 1875 at the Bridge Construction Plant at the Arcyduke Machine Construction Factory in Ustroń. It was part of a railway siding leading to the now defunct refinery in Libusza. The refinery and the bridge were built by Adam Skrzyński. It is a connecting path - you can get to the other side of the Ropa River by a path leading through the old railway bridge, and then reach the bicycle path by gravel roads, which will take you all the way to Biecz

It was created on the initiative of Jerzy Wojnarski, a stonemason from Gorlice, who also represented the Gorlice Riflemen's Brotherhood. The design was created by Zdzisław Tohl, a sculptor and director of the Dwory Museum of Karwacjan and Gładyszów. The installation of the monument was personally supervised by the dean, Fr. Stanisław Ruszel, the parish priest of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Basilica of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Sanctuary of the Lord Jesus in the Prison in Gorlice - a Catholic religious building, the temple was built in the years 1885-1892 in the neo-Renaissance style. The construction of the church was undertaken by the then parish priest Marceli Żabicki. The author of the design was Fr. Franciszek Pavoni, an Italian monk, the superior of the Dominicans in Kraków. In 1915, the temple was seriously damaged as a result of warfare. It was rebuilt in the years 1921-1932. In the years 2000-2003, the church was renovated. On May 23, 2009, by decision of Benedict XVI, the church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Gorlice became a minor basilica. The ceremonial act of granting was presented by Bishop Kazimierz Górny, the ordinary of the Rzeszów diocese.
