The City and Commune Office (which also houses the City Council Office and meeting chamber) is located in a building on Adama Mickiewicza Street. This large, post-war structure has served as the administrative center of the city and county for years (formerly the County National Council and City and Commune Office).

It was built in 1915. Original function: For many years (until 2013), it served its original purpose of stabilizing water pressure in the municipal water supply network. During that time, it was an integral part of the city's water supply system.

The castle was built in the 14th century by the princes of Oleśnica and Głogów, on the site of a former princely stronghold. In 1432 it was besieged by the Hussites, but was not captured. In 1520, the owner was the bishop of Wrocław, Jan Turzo, later it was in the hands of the princes of Legnica. Destroyed probably during the Thirty Years' War. In 1759, plundered by the Austrians, the northern wing with the chapel was demolished. In the 18th century, it was rebuilt into a baroque residence. The last reconstruction took place in 1924. The entrance portal with the Roman year of modernization MDCCCCXXIV dates from this period. The castle is surrounded by a park with monumental trees.

It was part of the city fortifications. Built in the 15th century, it served as a defensive tower at the Głogów Gate (hence its name). The inhabitants often used a different name - the jackdaw tower - due to the jackdaws nesting there. It is a 6-storey building. In the lower part, up to a height of 1.5 m, the base is a wall made of erratic boulders. There are also traces of a medieval defensive wall that runs from the Głogów tower to a small watchtower, about 200 steps away. Inside the tower, on the 2nd and 3rd floors, there is an ornament made of glazed heads. A city clock was installed on the sixth floor. Until the mid-18th century, the city guard chimed the hours on the tower by hitting the bell with a hammer. The aforementioned clock was installed in 1765. Numerous arrowslits in the wall of the tower testify to the defensive nature of the building. Under the tower there is a passage made for the convenience of pedestrians, covered with a barrel vault. The tower of the Głogów Gate is a significant architectural element of the city. Occasionally, it serves as a place for exhibitions and exhibitions. After the revitalization carried out in 2017, it serves as a viewing point from January 2018. The tower can be visited every Wednesday and Thursday from 12.00 to 15.00 and on the first and third Saturday and the second and fourth Sunday of each month from 14.00 - 17.00. For organized groups, it is possible to visit at other times, after making an appointment with the Culture Center in Góra.
