The Dominican monastery complex in Sieradz, built in the years 1233–1245, currently belonging to the Congregation of the Ursuline Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Rebuilt after destruction, including the burning by the Teutonic Knights in 1331 and the fire in the 17th century, it has retained its early Gothic character. The church is made of brick in the Wendish layout, single-nave, with Baroque gables and an early Gothic portal in the southern wall. The interior is decorated with Baroque-Rococo décor and paintings from 1910, depicting scenes from the life of Queen Jadwiga.

The new building, with an irregular shape on the plan of the letter "L", houses, among others, a cinema hall, art studios and a spacious foyer with a glass roof. The investment enriches the cultural offer of the city, but the shape of the building contrasts clearly with the classicist theater and the historic monastery.

Originally post office stables, converted into a theatre hall in 1874. The building was given a classicist appearance in 1900, and further changes were made in the 1960s. The current modern character and functionality are the result of a thorough modernisation in 2008.
