Karvinské moře has its guardian - none other than Neptune - in Roman mythology, appearing as the God of seas, oceans, and all lakes (the equivalent of the Greek Poseidon). An impressive sculpture depicting this mythological figure was unveiled at the end of June 2025 and almost immediately became an attraction where locals and tourists arriving by bike gladly take photos. The magnificent sculpture is 3.4 meters high and weighs about 1.2 tons. It was made by the Karviná artist Karel Buchta. He was helped in this project by Jaromír Toman from Karviná-Stare Město, a master of welding, who made Neptune's trident. Neptune is to symbolically guard the beachgoers, anglers, and tourists visiting Karvinské Moře. https://www.gloslive.cz

A wonderful café located on the turn from Karlova Studanka to Praděd. Wonderful and endless selection of sweets, plus excellent coffee. All served with due ceremony. I recommend it 11/10.
