This beautiful, small fountain with 3 water basins stands in front of the Protestant church in Lembach and flows vigorously (even in the extreme summer of 2026)!

Today's town hall [in Lembach], built in 1957, stands on the site of the old town hall, which was built in 1845 and destroyed in 1940. It was built from traditional material (Vosges sandstone). On the east facade of the building, you can admire a work by the sculptor Hetzel, representing a lumberjack; a symbol of the municipality's forestry vocation. The war memorial is a work by the same sculptor.

This wash house [on the Sauer] is equipped with 4 plates that can be raised depending on the river's water level. It was restored in 1989. We participated in a guided tour that lasted 2 hours (bring a sweater as it is cool in there!), which allowed us to discover all the ingenuity of these Maginot forts. A great discovery.

Unfortunately, the Le Bel family's estate is already quite run-down. They have been driving oil production around Pechelbronn for 4 generations since the 18th century.

An impressive property – it would need to have a function to make restoration worthwhile. Nevertheless, it's a shame to consider its current condition. Apart from the house at the entrance, which once housed a pizzeria, nothing has really been restored.
