A shady section. With "root and bump markings". But still, be careful when riding.

Some sections of the newly constructed cycle path west of Piolenc are genuinely dangerous. If you're suddenly jolted by small, sharp bumps while riding, you could easily be thrown off. The cycle path itself doesn't look old at all. If you're careful, it's actually quite a good place to cycle.

Formerly a toll station and medieval lookout, this 10th-century relic, restored and listed as a historical monument, stands proudly on its rocky spur — a perfect setting for a soulful photo.
