The very pretty castle of Gramont belonged to Simon IV de Montfort, leader of the royal crusade against the Albigensians, who donated it to his crusade lieutenant, Odon de Montaut. The castle became a fortress in the 14th century with the construction of the Gothic entrance, then between 1535 and 1545 a Renaissance wing was built, placed at right angles to the old castle. It was in the sixties that it was restored to regain its appearance.
