This beautiful, small fountain with 3 water basins stands in front of the Protestant church in Lembach and flows vigorously (even in the extreme summer of 2026)!

Today's town hall [in Lembach], built in 1957, stands on the site of the old town hall, which was built in 1845 and destroyed in 1940. It was built from traditional material (Vosges sandstone). On the east facade of the building, you can admire a work by the sculptor Hetzel, representing a lumberjack; a symbol of the municipality's forestry vocation. The war memorial is a work by the same sculptor.

We participated in a guided tour that lasted 2 hours (bring a sweater as it is cool in there!), which allowed us to discover all the ingenuity of these Maginot forts. A great discovery.

The Hochstein remains one of the most impressive rock formations in the Palatinate, especially since it is less obscured by forest than others. From the top, there is a fantastic view (for climbers).
