A very nice section of the route! The asphalt is unfortunately quite rough and brittle…exactly the right terrain for my gravel bike 😎 It's definitely not fun on a road bike, but definitely doable.

We left the past behind twice during the passage and enjoyed fresh seafood at Etang D'urbino and Etang Diana

Small Corsican village at the edge of the Etng de Diane. There you will find cafes and restaurants.

South of the current village of Aléria, you will find the ancient city, as well as its very well preserved archaeological finds at the Matra fort museum. Archeology lovers, go for it!

Swim in the river at your own risk. River water containing arsenic (nerve poison). A very high concentration was measured. That's probably why the restaurant is gone. It's a shame, because it's actually beautifully situated.

Beautiful gravel route next to the main road. Partly with sand and sharp stones. Coming from the North, one arrives at the best Queen of Corsica
