A quiet, car-free loop around the reservoir, with wide paths and gentle slopes. You ride along water, forest and the dam, with views of the steep mountain flanks of the Thur Valley. It is a short, relaxed round that is perfect as a recovery between the tougher climbs in the Vosges.

This old chapel was erected after the French Revolution on the old path to Thann and fell into disrepair over time. In 1932, the community decided to rebuild it. The current small building has a simple nave, an open porch, and a small bell tower with a bell. In front of the chapel stands a statue of the Virgin Mary, which underscores the character of the place as a pilgrimage and devotional site. The chapel is dedicated to the "Mother of God of Perpetual Help" and belongs to the typical small religious monuments of southern Alsace.

The Thur rises in the Vosges mountains at the foot of the Ballon d'Alsace and flows for about 53 kilometers through Alsace. It crosses picturesque towns such as Thann and Cernay before flowing into the Ill near Ensisheim. The river shapes the landscape, nature, and recreation equally.

Lovingly nicknamed "the Autobahn" by me, it leads from Geishouse up to the Col du Haag, and is designed so that there is rarely a gradient over 10%. The Tour de France also rides up here 😬
