The complex consists of a preserved castle tower, cellar and wall remains, and parts of the surrounding wall. The castle finally became part of Brandenburg in 1478 and was granted as a hereditary fief to Count Johann von Hohenstein I.

Germany's only floodplain national park protects one of the few virtually intact floodplains in Europe. The diverse landscape types found in and around this floodplain create a uniquely high biodiversity of flora and fauna. The flat Oder Valley, with meadows and sparse trees, is framed by hilly forests and steep slopes. A treat for the eye and the sense of discovery. Motorized traffic is prohibited in most of the Lower Oder Valley National Park.

The Julius Tower is part of the city's first sewage treatment plant. Construction of the plant in 1909 created a two-story, octagonal structure crowned with a spire, featuring a pumping station and treatment plant in the former Haveling area, a small fishing port. Wastewater was initially discharged into the West Oder River, and after 1927, with the construction of a culvert, into the East Oder. In 1965/1966, the pumping technology was upgraded, and a pressure line was laid to the new sewage treatment plant on the outskirts of the city. A partial renovation, reconstruction, and renewal of the piping and pumping technology took place between 1989 and 1995. The roof structure was demolished between 2008 and 2010 and reconstructed, including the decorative gables destroyed during the war. The exterior facade and base were also fundamentally renovated.

The Borchardt art foundry completed this commission in 4.5 months. A total of 500 kilograms of bronze were melted and 8 kilograms of welding wire were used. The artist's plaster model was divided into nine parts. The individual cast parts, produced using the lost-wax casting process, were then welded and chiseled after assembly. Finally, the figures were patinated and sealed with a beeswax emulsion.

The church was open, but the interior was blocked off by a door, which allowed one to look through and see the altar. Unfortunately, many churches are blocked off, so this one stood out in a positive way. The Uckermark region is very beautiful in general; I hadn't heard of it before.
