They have made a fantastic job of theses steps and made it easier to descend when it is very wet and muddy

They completely rebuilt these steps in 2024. Great work!

Bridleway with a mix of gravel and grass between the two villages of Edlesborough and Ivinghoe Aston, the latter having a nice community owned pub (The Village Swan). The bridleway does continue on to the village of Ivinghoe but that bit is more muddy in the rainy seasons. You may find it worth the extra effort (and muddy boots) to visit the free-house Rose & Crown at the end.

Nice to behold this church (resembling a castle) when approaching Edlesborough from the west

This is a wonderful little café/shop between Beacon Hill and Barton Hills (west of Luton) with some outdoor seating.

This elaborately designed wayside cross would certainly deserve a more dignified, somewhat more beautifully designed environment. Unfortunately, at least during the growing season, it is not noticed enough, because the cross, which stands a little off the path, can easily be overlooked due to the vegetation around it. This small sacred monument, built in Celtic style, is certainly worth seeing and would invite passers-by to take a little spiritual rest.
