Glatting Beacon is situated just off the South Downs Way, but is just a short detour if you want to bag another trig point on your hike. It is at the base of some radio masts and surrounded by forest, so don't expect a view.

A decent enough area with a trig pointed top. One of many trig points along the South Downs Way.

Great cafe, friendly staff, nice outside seating, and a great atmosphere inside. However, see the comfy seats; you're going to need them to sit down if you have a can of Coke at £2.50 a can!

I've walked much of that part of Stane St and the surrounding areas. And cycled more than I should (some of it is just footpath, and overgrown in places). Point is this: It's wonderful and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Great cyclists' (and hikers') cafe that sells freshly baked sausage rolls and lots of other tasty treats.
