Next to a B&B, this fulling mill also houses a dance school with flamenco dancing. Typical, in Belgium, and also not Spanish :-)

A beautiful little marina. A little further on there are also many houseboats. There is always something to see here.

A charred willow, rooted in sandbags and crowned with an egg: that's what Future Fossil, the artwork by Koen Vanmechelen on the Maas in Rotem (Dilsen-Stokkem), looks like. With this work, the artist pays tribute to the balance between man and nature in the Maas Valley. It is part of the 'Kunst aan de Maas' (Art on the Maas) route. 'Kunst aan de Maas' is an initiative of Z33, House for Contemporary Art, Design & Architecture (Hasselt) and Regional Landscape Kempen & Maasland. The project receives financial support from Flanders, namely Toerisme Vlaanderen and Fonds Culturele Infrastructuur (FoCI), De Vlaamse Waterweg and five 5 municipalities in Maasland (Kinrooi, Maaseik, Dilsen-Stokkem, Maasmechelen and Lanaken). The project was realised in collaboration with numerous stakeholders active in the RiverPark Maas Valley.

Beautiful abbey church with a beautiful and interesting interior. Pay entrance, as it is a museum, but very much worth it!
