The Sentiero Valtellina can be approached in different ways, including using the railway (Tirano-Milan line). You can cycle in one direction and return by train, or arrive directly with your bike from your home. Both are very useful options for tourists, who can load the bike on the train at a low cost, having more fun. From the Sondrio station you can travel along the valley floor, but above all go up towards Valmalenco or in some side valley of Valtellina as you wish.

Rest area right on the river, near Poggiridenti Piano. In the summer, a stall usually opens where they serve food, and it is right next to a small car park and a pump track which also makes it attractive for other cyclists. You can also get food in Piateda (small supermarket) or on the other side of the SS38 (larger supermarket).

Magnificent rest area recently set up. In a splendid stretch of the Sentiero Valtellina, on the river, it is equipped with a fountain and tables, charging for e-bikes and even a point where you can light a fire. If you want, you can get some food in a small supermarket in Piateda or in a larger one on the SS38 towards Poggiridenti, but they are not very close. There is also a map with trails and routes of the surrounding mountains.
