In September, large sections are impassable due to the many loose stones and very steep cliffs. Bikes often have to be pushed or carried. Therefore, they are not suitable for beginners.

The former lighthouse keeper's property is now a luxury hotel. It has 4 suites in the tower and 2 suites in the park. Standing on cliffs, it offers a spectacular panoramic view. The Hotel Capo Spartivento can only be reached via an unauthorized path. Partly taken from eva-sardinia.de

The highlights are of course beautiful. The tour itself (path) is difficult to navigate and has to be pushed for a large part. Washed out, sharp stones, very narrow, thorns.

Built in 1854 by the Italian Navy, the lighthouse testifies to the historical importance of the place, being part of a series of lighthouses commissioned by Vittorio Emanuele II of Savoy, as evidenced by the wrought iron initials on the entrance door. Although it suffered damage during World War II, it was later rebuilt. Today, the lighthouse has been transformed into a five-star hotel, offering from its top a spectacular panoramic view of the entire southern coast of Sulcis. If you approach from the east, from Cala Cipolla, a closed door may initially cause concern, but it is important to know that, although it prevents vehicular traffic, it is open to pedestrians.
