A fantastic viewpoint on Mount Teide. We went up with a bush tour company and were able to take photos at the viewpoint. A stop there is highly recommended and very interesting.

Mar-2025 Part of the hiking trails to Realejo Alto were closed due to forest fire damage. It was impossible to get through. Unfortunately, there was no information at the start of the tour in Realejo Alto either.

View of a volcanic rock that resembles a rose and that leaves no one indifferent. To do this you have to walk a bit on a path that goes under the road. If you walk down from the small car park you also have direct access to "La Rosa". Very highly recommended.

Burnt down in the 2023 wildfires. I hope it will be rebuilt soon. 1.5 benches survived. So sitting down is still possible

Small park and rest area that is a good starting point for hikes. Beautiful view, on one side towards the Teide, on the other side towards the observatory.

El Teide offers good cycling conditions year-round, but to best enjoy the 'no traffic' experience, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons (spring and autumn) when the weather is pleasant and tourist numbers are generally lower than peak summer. The park's high altitude means cooler temperatures, even in summer, and the 'sea of clouds' can provide a stunning backdrop.
Many routes start from designated parking areas within or near the National Park. For example, the La Caldera Recreation Area – Chanajiga Recreation Area loop begins from Parking La Caldera, providing convenient access to the trails.
While the higher, more remote sections of El Teide National Park have limited facilities, some routes pass through or near small hamlets on the lower slopes where you can find refreshment opportunities. It's always advisable to carry sufficient water and snacks, especially for longer ascents.
