Built in 1953 on this height of the Meudon forest at an altitude of 173m, this tower rises up to 70m and has 18 levels. Added to this is a 25m high transmission pylon at its summit which ultimately raises it to an altitude of 270m. It is the first large radio tower built in France. Her appearance was received differently at the time, with the local press even calling her a "candle worthy of Father Ubu". The evolution of technologies and the rise of digital technology have obviously led to the decline of its use and it is now only used for tests and experiments carried out by TDF. In 2019, it received the “Remarkable Contemporary Architecture” label.
