Now somewhat dated, cracks have been filled with tar. However, this doesn't detract from the route's appeal.

But the community not only leaves its mark, visible to everyone through numerous actions, from signage to the installation of benches, but also removes traces left by vandals who deliberately destroy, unrepentant motocross and quad bikers, or incorrigible environmental offenders. Therefore, it is important to point out at this point that the Gleichberg area is a designated bird, nature, and landscape conservation area. The oak tree located directly at the foot of the mountain next to the driveway is a designated natural monument. The surrounding area was recently renovated by the Gleichbarchrotte (a local community). A new bridge over the small ditch, a bench, and a sign all combine to create a beautiful place to linger. Such commitment is extremely commendable.

At the foot of the Großer Gleichberg, above the monument, stands this oak tree, designated as a natural monument. The surrounding area was recently redesigned. A new bridge now spans the small ditch, and a bench sits directly beneath the tree, inviting visitors to linger. A display with an insect hotel and an information panel on appropriate conduct in the nature reserve has also been installed. These improvements have created an attractive environment. Many thanks to the Friends of the Großer Gleichberg for their fantastic commitment! 👌🏻
