The Langes Becken green belt is part of the green ring of Staaken. In the future, a park with wide paths and sports and play facilities is to be created here. A new playground has already been built on the southern meadow, which is to be opened soon. In addition, the water balance in the basins is to be stabilized and amphibians settled. However, it is unclear when this will be implemented, but you can already have a nice walk there today.

This section of the Mauerweg is very beautiful and quiet, but unfortunately quite bumpy and hasn't been maintained for a long time, which is why signs have been put up asking cyclists to dismount. Furthermore, the official Mauerweg route now leads down behind the Hahneberg to the Weinmeisterhornweg, along it and then back up Wilhelmstraße. However, you can still cycle this old route, even if the signposts point along the other route, and enjoy the scenery if you don't mind a few bumpy spots and want to avoid the road section.
