From the hiking trail you have a great view over the large Alpsee

By taking the Ergelweg, you can save yourself a few hundred meters of paved local road on the Rieder Steige and, with virtually no detour, incorporate a wonderful, narrow hiking trail behind the houses' gardens along the edge of the hill with a view of Lake Alpsee into your hike. With every Komoot tour that someone has done around here but taken the road instead of the hiking trail here, I think to myself, "Oh no, why do they skip this lovely path and prefer to walk on the road???"
