The Badow manor house, also known locally as the castle, is located in the Badow district of the Schildetal community in the Northwest Mecklenburg district. The estate was first mentioned in documents in 1230. In 1906, after a serious fire, the manor house was converted from a classicist to a neo-baroque house by the architect Paul Korff. Church village belonging to the parish of Parchim and the priory of Wittenburg, parish to Döbbersen, acquired by the Reinfeld monastery in 1237 and later given to the Zarrentin monastery. In 1700 Heinrich von Döring acquired the Badow estate, in memory of his wife Friederike H.F.L. v.Döring 1847 the neo-Gothic church made of brickwork. A hall building with a long rectangular choir, in the west a slender pinnacle tower. The interior is characterized by three eight-part false vaults in the English Gothic style. Behind the sanctuary is the former crypt with two star vaults, now used as a community room. The furnishings include a baptismal font (19th century) with a silver baptismal font, donated by A.v.Döring in 1894, a wooden pulpit, the gallery with an organ by the Nußbücker company from Plau, built in 1975, a simple altar table and a wooden cross on the east wall. The surrounding churchyard is designed as a cemetery. Source: https://www.dorfkirchen-in-mv.de/content/Version_1/detail_gesamt.php?Reg_Nr=667
