The Protestant Church in Lambsheim in the Rhein-Pfalz district in Rhineland-Palatinate is the church building of the Protestant parish of Lambsheim, which belongs to the Frankenthal church district of the Evangelical Church of the Palatinate. It was built between 1844 and 1848 as a neo-Romanesque hall church. It has space for around 850 people. The pulpit and presbytery are on the long side, as the parish pews were arranged in a semicircular shape at 180 and 90 degree angles to the pulpit and altar until the renovation in the early 1990s, in the Reformed tradition. The lower three floors of the church tower are the only remains of the previous building from the 13th century. The tower structure with the high pointed helmet was only added between 1860 and 1861. Inside are epitaphs of local noble families that were moved here from the previous building. The most important of these, that of Jakob von Helmstatt and his wife Maria von Affenstein († 1556), came to the Historical Museum of the Palatinate in Speyer in the early 20th century. As the tallest building in the town center, the church tower dominates the townscape. At 69 meters high, the tower is the sixth tallest church tower in the Vorderpfalz after the towers of the Speyer Memorial Church (100 m), the Speyer Josephskirche (91 m), the Speyer Cathedral (twice 71.2 m) and the Bad Dürkheim Castle Church (70 m) and is therefore the tallest village church tower in the Vorderpfalz. In 2020/2021, the tower, whose bells are used by both the Protestant and Catholic parishes, underwent a major general renovation.
