I found the exhibition very interesting. It's definitely worth a visit. The displays are so extensive that you should definitely plan to spend several hours. In conversations with friends, I was told to arrive as early as possible and view one section. Then, to clear my head, take a break and then view the second section. It doesn't matter whether you visit the outdoor area or the indoor areas first. The café in the outdoor area is often very busy, and you may have to wait. TIP: Arrange a time in advance.

The historic ACO Thormannhalle is located on the grounds of Kunstwerk Carlshütte in Rendsburg-Büdelsdorf. In 1890, timber merchant Theodor Thormann had the building erected, and in 2011 it was converted into a rehearsal and concert venue for the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra, offering space for 1,200 spectators. When the Carlshütte iron foundry, the first industrial company in the duchies of Schleswig and Holstein, was shut down in 1997 after 170 years of production, the extensive grounds and its unparalleled ensemble of buildings began to write a new chapter. Today, the impressive industrial monument is home to Kunstwerk Carlshütte, a non-profit cultural initiative by the internationally active ACO Group and the cities of Büdelsdorf and Rendsburg, a special place for exhibitions, concerts, readings, and film screenings. The centerpiece is NordArt (www.nordart.de), one of Europe's largest annual exhibitions of contemporary art, which presents works by more than 200 selected artists from around the world and attracts more than 100,000 visitors each summer.
