Currently, the state register of geographical names lists Gostomie as the lake's primary name, while also listing a secondary name: Boruckie Lake. Located in the Noteć Forest, very close to the town of Gościm (1 km), the lake is the deepest of all the lakes in the area, reaching a depth of 18 meters.
