Directly in Le Pont: one of the most beautiful views of Lac de Joux

I wouldn't describe the climb from Le Pont as easy; I hiked it with a packed touring bike. Once on your back, the path is actually quite easy. However, on my tour, I encountered not only mountain goats, but also some very intrusive cows.

Excellent first day with lots of climbing - Col de la Combe Blanche, Col de l'Aiguillon and a third smaller col between them. The views are wonderful and no cars on most sections with a few road parts that were not very busy.

Great views across the lake, lovely friendly staff and really good crepes - savoury and sweet. Ideal lunch stop.
