June 23, 2025, Lopez Dam

From the top of the dam you can see down either side of Lopez Lake and Lopez Canyon. Rather unusually, the dam on Arroyo Grande Creek has a grassy face and a road that switchbacks up it from the creek below.

San Luis Obispo has a beautiful downtown area. The tree lined streets are full of restaurants, cafés, and bars. It is a great place to go for a walk, people watch, or visit some wonderful boutique shops.

February 4, 2025, Baileyana Vineyard

This winery is in a fantastic location with a tasting room inside the historic Independence Schoolhouse built in 1909. Nestled in the heart of Edna Valley, there are gorgeous views of the valley and mountains as you look across the vineyards and beautifully landscaped gardens. After a long ride, the outdoor seating area is ideal for a relaxing wine-tasting session as you take in the scenery.

January 8, 2025, View of Lake Lopez

Renowned for its challenging ascents, this locale features steep inclines. However, nestled within lies a captivating spot offering enchanting vistas of the mountains and the lake. It is beautifully green and lush here.

Pescadero Point is a fantastic spot to view the ghost trees and offers spectacular ocean views, along with fascinating rock formations. This area is known for its legendary big waves, which can reach heights of up to 50 feet (15 meters) in the winter, but it's a stunning sight to see any time of year. There is a manned gate at the entrance of the Pebble Beach Golf Course to access this location for vehicles, however, if you're on a bike you can pass for free.
