The Vác riverside promenade (Hungarian: Ady Endre sétány) is considered one of the most beautiful along the entire Hungarian Danube Bend. It is not only a place for relaxation but also reflects the eventful history of this over 1000-year-old episcopal city.

The Danube bank in Vác (German: Waitzen) is considered one of the most beautiful promenades in the Hungarian Danube Bend. While the opposite bank (Visegrád) is often overcrowded with tourists, Vác offers a more relaxed, almost Mediterranean atmosphere. The riverside promenade is the heart of the city for walkers and cyclists. It is lined with old chestnut trees and offers a wide view of the main arm of the Danube and Szentendre Island.

The bike highway to Biatorbágy is part of one of Hungary's most spectacular cycling connections: the route from Budapest to Lake Balaton (BuBa). The section near Biatorbágy is particularly popular with cyclists, as it combines modern infrastructure with historical architecture and great views.

I was surprised to find that no one has made a highlight of this yet? This place is one of the most beautiful Viaducts in the country, and moreover, a historically significant event is connected to it, and I don't even need to mention that it is one of (if not the) most spectacular parts of the BuBa (Budapest-Balaton Bicycle Route). It is a bridge in excellent condition, which you can cross by bike and admire the view, or the depth, or the surrounding mountains. What is interesting is that you cross the bridge on iron plates that don't slip. You can also admire the bridge from below (not part of the BuBa) if you take a small detour. So overall, it can be said that it is a well-maintained monument, with great utilization.

What a beautiful view of the Danube Bend ☺️. But the castle has much more to offer that you can see.

The Komoot route guides you along this route, even though the section is closed and cannot be bypassed. There are also warning signs, which you should take seriously. Shortly before the bridge, a path leads to a path that bypasses the bridge. So you don't have to cycle the whole way back.

A very beautiful castle, with a steep climb and a steep descent. But with a bit of time and determination, it's doable. Great views over the Danube.

The part of the BUBA (Budapest-Balaton bicycle route) connecting Biatorbágy - with Törökbálint can be seen in the photo.
