The tower was erected near the end of a sheer cliff called Red Stone. From it you can see Devin and the surrounding area. There is also a fountain in the immediate vicinity.

I recommend coming in autumn so that the leaves have fallen and there is a view of the surroundings.

The entire loop is not a walk, have enough water with you, sturdy shoes and hiking sticks are not wrong.

From the outdoor pool (parking) upstream, the path leads along the bank into the forest. A few hundred meters after the signposted junction to Kaleto, a bridge crosses the river. A well-paved footbridge now leads through the gorge to the Lukata meadow. There are many spectacular spots between Devin and Toshkovo, but this section of the river is particularly beautiful with cliffs on both sides to the water. The path here is also family-friendly and safe.

What is less well known is that the path leads uphill from here via Zabardo to Petreshkovo or eastwards to Grebenets (Kulata). Those who have climbed the "plateau" can reach Baraklia, Lizitchivo or Devin again.

Lukata is actually the normal end point of the path that leads up the river from Devin. Going further in the gorge is problematic, even if paths along the river towards Golyam Beglik via Kimerov Most and Toshkovo are marked on Komoot maps. The best option for another hike is the path to Stanilovo Bardo, which climbs steeply behind the hut. From Stanilovo Bardo is up to about 1450m above sea level. NN on the mountain slope a way back to Devin e.g. via Ravne possible. Other possible destinations: Shiroka Polyana, Borino or Teschel and Kosi Rog in the vicinity. Otherwise there is a place to rest with table and benches before returning to Devin - either along the river through the canyon or on the other side of the river via Kaleto back to the Strulitza outdoor pool.
