June 24, 2026, Wooden Boardwalk Along the Rocks

This is just a magical section of the footpath. Some wooden steps take you up onto a boardwalk, and then you can walk safely around this section of the coast on a wooden footpath that overhangs the water. There is even a safety rail to make sure you don't fall into the sea. It is a beautiful spot to linger a while!

This is a beautiful woodland trail that goes through a pristine forest. In the main the paths are great, but the best thing is the peace and tranquillity that you have walking through this wonderful environment.

This path enables walkers and cyclists to follow the Hortensveien in and out of Tønsberg. From this path you can enjoy the Bergstein loop, a pleasant 3-kilometer (2-mi) amble featuring woodland and fields.

There is some lovely woodland to enjoy on the short Bergstein loop near Tønsberg. The loop actually takes you around a prison complex but the trails are pleasant enough.

Moutmarka is an incredible area that sits within Færder National Park. It has a distinctive landscape with its smooth rock geology and a great trail network. It is a great place to take the family, especially to see the coastal wildlife. The hiking trail along the western coastline between Verdens Ende and Mostranda Beach is a great hiking adventure.

Access to this spot by a non‑electric (classic) bicycle is very physically demanding, suitable only for experienced riders in excellent physical condition.

Where the granite-led shore curves into the water, the sea opens wide in every direction—steel-gray, then glittering with white flecks. Island shapes sit low on the horizon, and the low rocks along the bank give you a snug place to pause and listen to the tide work the stones. Step lightly along the uneven edge for shifting coastal views, from sheltered coves to exposed, wind-cleared stretches.
