The Amthof (administrative building) of Bad Camberg served as the seat of the Electorate of Trier's bailiffs in the jointly ruled town of Camberg from 1564 to 1816. It is a multi-winged complex with 145 meters of exposed timber framing. The "Heiden Building," the oldest part, was erected in 1605 by Bailiff Lubert von Heiden. His coat of arms and that of his wife, Ursula von Schöneberg, are featured in the parapet panels. Elevated St. Andrew's crosses spanning two bays and ornate corner posts with arborvitae frame the facade. The "Hohenfeld Building," with its two double-story oriel windows, was added in 1609 and 1669.
