If one were allowed to get there at least by 'pushing' during the summer season, the dike would be a real cycling highlight… 🙄 The ban was surely caused by bikers in the past who, despite being asked to push, remained seated on their saddles. I was granted an exception with the folded Brompton after arguing that this bike, when folded, is even classified as hand luggage on the DB after intervention by the ADFC.... 😁

Unfortunately, the tower cannot be climbed. As it is located in the middle of the city center, the crowds would probably also be too high... 😉

The large letters in a trendy rust look (Corten steel) are an extremely popular photo motif for holidaymakers, especially at sunset. It stands at the transition of the lagoon island.

Watt’n Hus in Büsum The Watt’n Hus is the central visitor and event center directly behind the dike. What it is: Tourist Info Venue (lectures, concerts, cinema, readings) Starting point for mudflat hikes Exhibition/Information about the Wadden Sea Meeting point in bad weather What it is not: Not a museum with large exhibits Not an architectural highlight Not a "sightseeing spot" to tick off

The promenade is not a spectacular nature trail, but rather classic coastal leisure: ideal for strolling, cycling, views, breaks by the sea, and light activity – perfect to combine with a mudflat hike or other dike paths if you want more nature.

The lettering is at the front at the transition to the lagoon island. Had to go over there.
